It is most helpful for stsmp buyers if the seller puts in his listing the Catalogue (Catalog) number of the item. and many sellers do this.

However the buyer needs to know WHICH Catalog is being used.

There are at least four different catalogs in common use by users of this site.

So may I suggest that it would help sales if the sellers indicated which cat they are using, This can easily be done by the initials - SG for Stanley Gibbons, Sc for Scott etc

hi james,
happy new year to you too. make a suggestion that they add a category on the 'selling' page for catalogs used. i'm sure someone will do it for us. i see they have the catalog value there, but not the catalog used as you say. i have made this suggestion before a long time ago. maybe now with luke aboard, the change will be done. take care and let's keep our fingers crossed.

amities,
cajunsr.

I have just uploaded some new auctions (Sweden), and used both Facit and Michel numbers and written the catalog name.

Katalog name and year, plus the the # would indentify the price correctly.
If you do not mention the katalog year, The katalog may be a old one and the price of the stamp outdated.
Michel, Austria 2009 has different prices then Michel, Austria 2008 !!!!
