I just signed up for DelCampe this week after I discovered it through a post on PowerSellersUnite.com (PSU).

PSU is a popular site for people looking to expand their businesses off of eBay.

I must say I am very impressed with DelCampe and the size of the community and I was very suprised that so little is heard about DelCampe on the PSU site.

One powerfull recruiting tool which is on the PSU website is called the Auction Site Count (see the link below)

It is a list of alternative websites and the number of auctions that each site has.

I have been a member of PSU for over 1 1/2 years and I had never heard of DelCampe mainly because it is rarely mentioned on PSU and it is not part of the Auction Site Count.

I encourage everyone to sign up as a member for PSU if you have not already done so, and support have DelCampe added to the Auction Site Count by posting and voting in the following link.

New members looking for new places to sell will have a better chance to become familiar with DelCampe and it should increase recruitment which will be good for the whole community.

I too am new, but I have already found that there are certain disadvantages.

The greatest disadvantage about the Delcampe site over the last few days or so has been your appearance here on the Forum.For someone with such a short history on Delcampe and someone who appears to have no record of buying or selling on the site you are not short on opinions and I dare say yourself.If Delcampe and its officials do not meet your standards,please spare us your sour negative comments and just please BUGGER OFF.

Hi Nanook, I dont see a need to be nasty because someone is new. I merely made a suggestion on a way for members of DelCampe to let others know about the site.

It's not a knock on Delcampe or its members. I imagine we all have simliar goals in regards to e-commerce.

I have not made any sales yet but that does not mean I can not contribute over time. Chasing new people away is not in the best interest of yourself or Delcampe.

While yet another thread is speaking 'comments' about a Brian-Kevin, I have asked that people DO NOT mix us with this former member, & that assumptions made elsewhere in forum pages are totally unfair in a conclusion made that both this former member & my family team were connected, in an attempt to make out 'we' have rejoined under a new name!

Dinnages have traded since 1989 under that name, can be seen that we have traded on ebay, & have an established online site. We have no connection with any current or former sellers on Delcampe.

At the lack of a confirmation so far of this that the Delcampe team could most easily confirm, we will not take lightly being potentially given bad publicity through misinformed members on Delcampe.

Looking forward to making many friends here as we have in business since 1989, hence we are pleased to promote Delcampe auctions to assist in new members from the UK.

An IP address & any email addresses can be traced, let alone payment systems.

What difference does that make to anybody ?

Clearly all the Dinnages are interested in British buses to an extent which most French members are not. Dinnages have that much in common anyway.
