hi PN, found another site with essentially the same answer i gave jean: Vinculo (http) did she just give the image of the back of the bill or both? i think she will be convinced the bills are bogus now. later gator, cajunsr.

This proves that it's not "United States Currency", which is not surprising at all as it is not in Volume 2 of the Krause catalogue of paper money. But it could be some other kind of financial instrument with a value for collectors. Mortgages are never mentioned on banknotes. I have put a note on the French website asking for their opinion on this to help Cousin(e) Jean. It probably is just a fantasy item, however. Plantag
